St. Timothy - Bishop
Born - c.17 AD
Died - c.97 AD

Feastday - 26 January

Statue created - 1703
On 14 January 1703 Baratta undertook to execute the statue which he delivered on 10 March.

Sculptor - Giovanni Maria Baratta
He received a payment of 80 scudi in 1703. This is his only known work.

Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine
The saint is depicted in bishop's robes.  His right hand is raised in blessing and his left holds the palm. The work shows some technical skill and originality.

He was a companion and disciple of  St Paul, who became the bishop of Ephesus. He is the recipient of the Epistle to Timothy.
