Though unknown, the artist is also attributed the statues of St Macrina (21) and St Fausta (35).

Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine
The saint looks into a book that he holds with his left hand.  The right hand holds a palm.

A Syriac deacon, hymnographer and theologian,  the open book in his left hand is an attribute for being proclaimed Doctor of the Church on 5 October 1920 by Pope Benedict XV.
